Sri Nrusingha Dev Anchalika Yuba Parisada (SNDAYP), established in 1993-94, is a non-political, non-profit social welfare organization dedicated to bringing qualitative change in the lives of marginalized groups, including individuals with disabilities, women, economically disadvantaged populations, and oppressed communities. Operating primarily in rural areas, SNDAYP addresses fundamental needs such as health, education, employment, vocational training, capacity building, and combating gender discrimination and inequality.

Additionally, a community-based physiotherapy center has been established to provide accessible therapy services to beneficiaries.

Day Care Center for Children with Disabilities

With support from the Social Security and Empowerment for Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD) Department, Government of Odisha, SNDAYP operates a day care center dedicated to 100 children with disabilities. Located at the ASHA Rehabilitation Centre in Birapratappur, Puri, the center offers effective therapeutic interventions, significantly benefiting the children and receiving positive feedback from beneficiaries.

Life Skills Training for Adolescent Disabled Girls

In collaboration with the Tech Mahindra Foundation, SNDAYP organized a training program titled “Training for Adolescent Disabled Girls on Basic Life Skills, along with Their Mothers on Health, Sexual Behavior, Sanitation, and Personal Hygiene.” Held at the ASHA Centre in Chandanpur, the program benefited 76 adolescent girls and 69 mothers, equipping them with essential life skills to enhance their well-being and support.

Individuals like Sradhanjali Behera have experienced significant improvements through SNDAYP’s interventions. Diagnosed with cerebral palsy, Sradhanjali benefited from regular home-based and center-based activities, along with therapies provided by SNDAYP. As a result, she has shown remarkable progress, including the ability to walk with support, bringing joy to her family and highlighting the impact of SNDAYP’s disability management services.
